VxWorks is a widely adopted real-time operating system (RTOS) for embedded applications.

Xycom Automation in conjunction with VisiCom has developed an easy-to-use VxWorks Board Support Package (BSP) for its latest generation of VMEbus PC processors. The VxWorks BSP provides a driver to allow simple user-configurable VMEbus memory mapping and interrupt handling. A driver is also provided for the 10/100 Mbit Intel 82558 Ethernet controller used on the latest Xycom Automation processors and support is available for the M-Systems DiskOnChip® devices. The VxWorks BSP is compatible with VxWorks release 5.3.1 and Tornado release 1.01. Support for Visicom's RtX-Windows real-time graphics product is also provided.
